How We Help
Practice Areas
Five focused areas of strength — from the courtroom and the boardroom to the most personal matters families face. Deep capability, not a long list.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution
We try cases. From the boardroom to the courtroom, we represent businesses and individuals in high-stakes civil litigation, arbitration, and appeals throughout Florida and beyond — bringing extensive case-management experience, the resources to staff matters properly without overstaffing, and the judgment to pursue the approaches most effective for each client's economic and non-economic objectives.
- Commercial & civil litigation — disputes involving banking, securities, healthcare, insurance, and real estate, drawing on broad subject-matter expertise to support your positions.
- Construction litigation — construction liens under Florida's Construction Lien Law (Chapter 713, including § 713.29 fees), defect claims subject to the Chapter 558 pre-suit "Notice and Opportunity to Repair" process, payment- and performance-bond claims (§ 713.23–713.24 and the "Little Miller Act," § 255.05), and § 95.11(3)(c) limitations and repose issues, for owners, contractors, subcontractors, and sureties.
- Securities & financial-markets litigation — complex commercial disputes involving financial institutions, approached with a regulator's perspective on compliance and enforcement.
Creditors' Rights, Receivership & Bankruptcy
We guide creditors, debtors, lenders, and fiduciaries through the full arc of financial distress — from out-of-court workouts, to court-appointed receiverships, to Chapter 11 reorganization — protecting value at every stage of the debtor-creditor relationship.
- Workout & restructuring — a multidisciplinary approach to negotiating and drafting modified debtor-creditor agreements before and during bankruptcy, building in safeguards, confirming the validity of security interests, and negotiating automatic-stay and related provisions.
- Receivership — seeking or opposing the appointment of a receiver under Florida's Uniform Commercial Real Estate Receivership Act (Chapter 714, eff. July 1, 2020) and Florida Rule of Civil Procedure 1.620 — often alongside commercial mortgage foreclosures under Chapter 702 — plus receiver administration and court-supervised sales free and clear of liens.
- Bankruptcy & reorganization — Chapter 11 reorganizations and representation of secured and unsecured creditors, trustees, landlords, and committees, including cash-collateral orders, § 1111(b) elections, preferences, fraudulent-conveyance and equitable-subordination actions, debtor-in-possession financing, and § 363 sales.
Business & Transactions
Whether a transaction is complex or routine, it is prudent to have an attorney protecting your interests. We counsel companies and individuals through the deals and relationships that define their businesses — spotting the latent issues that require an experienced eye to notice and protect against.
- Transactional representation — business, real-estate, and personal transactions structured to guard against significant and long-lasting risk.
- Securities & capital markets — capital-markets, FinTech, and investment-management counsel, including offerings, exchange-listed funds, and the structuring of sophisticated financial transactions.
- Labor & employment — employer-side counsel on policies, handbooks, training, employment and non-compete agreements, and severance, plus representation before the EEOC and FCHR and in discrimination and wage-hour matters.
Family Law
We handle matters involving time-sharing, visitation, co-parenting, child support, alimony, the splitting of marital assets and debts, and attorney's fees. Our goal is to resolve your case without causing you to spend all of your money and assets — so you can keep your dignity and sanity.
As our client, you will always be consulted for input about each proceeding in your case, and you will receive each and every document and letter created in your matter. We recognize that this is your life, and we never make unilateral decisions that would compound the difficulty of an already challenging time.
Immigration
We have successfully represented clients in Immigration Court, the USCIS District Office, and the Office of Asylum Requests — handling cancellation of removal, readjustment of status, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), NACARA cases, asylum petitions, and naturalization applications.
On the family-based side, we have handled a large number of permanent-residence petitions, including VAWA petitions, K visas, and removal of conditions. For employers and professionals, we prepare immigrant and non-immigrant employment petitions — including H-1B, L, E, O, and R visas — before USCIS service centers and U.S. consulates.
